Last Child in the Woods {Denver, CO: Monday Musings}

"Let nature be your teacher."

-William Wordsworth

I'm currently reading a wonderful book entitled, Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv.  An insightful commentary on the importance of 'saving our children from nature-deficit disorder,' I highly recommend it to any parent who is particularly keen on their children knowing and discovering the natural ways of the world. Being in a mood for all things outdoors today, I was reminded of this photo and it's projected essence of all the things I wish my little adventurer and I to be found wrapped up in on a regular basis, even as the air brings winter closer ever day: exploring fields and forests, hopefully with a few flowers in our hair (at least for me) and some stories to tell Daddy when he gets home, about all our adventures.
