What can I say? To know me is to love me. And to love me is to love all things New Mexican. It is my childhood home, the tapestry of my nostalgic dreams and the land that enchants me. Thankfully Drew loves me and has also fallen in love with one of the most cultured and historic cities we know: Santa Fe.
I highly recommend a visit to this amazing little city. Eat some extra hot green chili, walk through any number of breath taking galleries and historic churches (the oldest church structure in North America, San Miguel Mission, is in Santa Fe,) and buy a few authentic turquoise souvenirs in the square. Of course it helps even more that we have some lovely lifelong friends who recently moved to SF, and who also just happen to be very talented photographers. They were so gracious as to photograph our family for the second year in a row, and this year I got to photograph them back! What an honor! I’ll share more of that session, as well as our jaunt to the internationally known Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival, next week.
For now, I hope you have a great weekend and that these pictures inspire you to have a little adventure this weekend, even if it takes a little while to get there.
